Professional-Grade Recovery

Recover at the level your body actually heals at.

Most recovery tools work on the surface — heat, pressure, cold. AEIR works at the cell. CO2 therapy triggers the Bohr Effect, telling your hemoglobin to release the oxygen it's already carrying directly into the tissue that needs it. This is what professional recovery looks like when it stops being about symptoms.

Who it's for

Built for bodies that ask more of themselves.

Athlete mid-recovery, quiet focus. AEIR for serious training blocks.

The competitive athlete

Training volume is the ceiling. Recovery is the floor. If your floor rises, your ceiling rises with it. AEIR compresses the window between hard sessions by delivering oxygen where your tissue actually uses it.

The weekend warrior

You don't get paid to recover — which is exactly why it has to be efficient. Thirty minutes in the suit or twenty with the paste fits between work, family, and the next ride. Less soreness on Monday. More capacity on Saturday.

Targeted application of CO2 Renew paste for post-injury recovery.

Post-surgery or post-injury

Tissue doesn't repair without oxygen delivery. Immobilized joints and healing fascia especially. The paste goes exactly where the soreness lives; the suit works systemically while you rest. Both were designed in-clinic, around real patients.

How CO2 therapy actually works

Your blood is already full of oxygen. CO2 is what delivers it.

The Bohr Effect is not exotic physiology — it's the mechanism your body uses every second to send oxygen to working muscle. CO2 produced by metabolism shifts hemoglobin's hold on oxygen and releases it at the tissue.

AEIR's transdermal CO2 raises local tissue CO2 on purpose. Hemoglobin lets go of oxygen exactly where your cells need it — muscle, joint, fascia, skin. Vasodilation opens the vessels. Circulation increases. The tissue oxygenates. Repair starts.

Thirty minutes with the suit. Twenty minutes with the paste. No pain, no downtime, and no crash afterward.

Travel

The 5-pack goes in a Dopp kit. No hydrogel required, no hardware. Race weekend, business trip, training camp.

First-time trial

Cheapest entry into the AEIR mechanism. $99. If it works, the suit is the next step. If it doesn't, you spent $99.

Systemic recovery

One 30-minute session oxygenates full-body. Use it after training, before bed, or as a standing daily ritual.

Training blocks

The suit is built for volume. Daily or every-other-day, the soreness floor stays low. Athletes report compounding benefits over weeks.

At-home clinic quality

The same system used in partner clinics. Set-and-forget recovery — no appointments, no driving, no electricity. A CO2 tank (sourced locally) lasts months.

Clinic-guided

If you'd rather start at a clinic, our partners in Minnetonka and San Diego integrate AEIR into recovery protocols.

In more locker rooms every season.

AEIR CO2 therapy is in use across the NHL — including the Winnipeg Jets, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, and Anaheim Ducks. It's being trialed at top NCAA football programs. It's the recovery modality Barwis Methods integrates into elite performance training. It's cited by Precision Hydration, Red Bull performance, and a growing list of agency partners. All without a single branded logo — just the mechanism, and what it does to tissue.

The Protocol

How to integrate AEIR into your week.

3–5 sessions per week

Most users do best at 3–5 sessions per week with the suit — consistent, habitual, similar to how you'd use any other recovery practice. The paste can be daily and spot-targeted without fatiguing the system.

20–30 minutes

Suit sessions run 20–30 minutes. Paste applications activate on contact and work for ~20 minutes. Longer is not better — the mechanism is calibrated, not arbitrary.

Post-training or pre-sleep

AEIR pushes the body toward homeostasis — the opposite of a stress response. Most people slot it after training or in the evening to roll into sleep. Morning works too; no crash, no stimulant effect.

Stacks cleanly with other modalities

CO2 therapy is additive. Red light, compression, sauna — use them together without conflict. The mechanism is different enough that AEIR tends to multiply the rest of your stack instead of duplicating it.

What most people ask before buying.

Same mechanism, different form factor. The paste is topical and targeted — apply to a specific area, 20 minutes, done. The Flex Kit delivers the mechanism systemically via a suit that envelopes the whole body for 30 minutes. The paste is the best entry point at $99; the Flex Kit is the premium system for people who want recovery to be part of their daily life.
Many users report reduced soreness after the first or second session. Systemic benefits — HRV trends, training volume tolerance, compounding recovery — typically show up over 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Wound and skin effects compound over weeks too; see the research on 66% faster wound closure.
Yes — decades of peer-reviewed carboxytherapy research out of Japan and Europe. AEIR is built on that body of work. We publish the studies on every product page. The effect of transcutaneous application of CO2 on skeletal muscle and Transcutaneous CO2 accelerates muscle injury repair in rat models are two of the most directly relevant for recovery.
CO2 therapy is a naturally occurring signaling molecule in the body; this is the same CO2 your muscles produce during exercise. Both products are dermatologist-tested. The paste is paraben-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free. The suit has no electrical components and no pharmaceutical ingredients. Consult your physician if you're pregnant or have a specific condition.
One 5–10 lb CO2 tank (sourced from a welding supplier, beverage distributor, or specialty gas provider — the same CO2 used for soda) will run many dozens of sessions. Most users refill every few months.
Full-Body Flex Suit with extra-large diagonal zipper and arm access, Filling Kit (regulator, filling gun, vacuum, seals), and 250mL of Enhancing Hydrogel. The CO2 tank is sourced separately — instructions are on the product page.
Yes. Many customers run the paste-only protocol for years. It's especially strong for post-workout spot recovery, injury rehab, and on-the-go use. If you progress to wanting whole-body, the Flex Kit is the natural next step.
Hyperbaric uses pressure to dissolve more oxygen into blood that's already ~97% saturated. AEIR triggers the Bohr Effect — which makes hemoglobin release the oxygen it's already carrying directly into tissue. Hyperbaric pressurizes the supply; AEIR optimizes the delivery. We go deeper on this at vs-hyperbaric.
